As a child, I always had a love for the caramel chocolate mint combination of this dessert. The Cocoa Halva combined with a swirl of caramel and the minty chocolate is just delicious
a tin of condensed milk or caramel can go a long way with some artistic cooking. All you need to make this scrumptious dessert is yoghurt, condensed milk and biscuits

I don’t know what it is about this simple dessert, but seems to have a profound affect on most South Africans, inducing bouts of childhood nostalgia with every bite and even the odd misty eye (they aren’t crying of course, its just that pesky braai-smoke)

It is such a beautiful option for a festive dessert and when served with our earlier recipe for delicious caramel oblietjies, it does in some way tick the caramel criteria as well
Next time, I’m going to substitute caramel treat for the condensed milk and top it with caramelised pecans, I’m sure that’s going to be a decadent winner
