Ingredients

  • Oil
  • 1 onion,finely chopped
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of ginger and garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies,slit
  • 1 elachie/cardamon pod
  • 350 g - 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons of salt
  • 6 teaspoons of chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons of coriander/dhania (coriander) powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin/jeera powder
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon of tumeric powder
  • 1 1⁄2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1⁄4 cup of water
  • Method
  • Heat oil
  • Add onion and cinnamon sticks
  • Once onion is golden ,add elachie and chillies
  • Add ginger and garlic paste and cook for about 2 minutes
  • Add mince and salt and cook for a few minutes
  •  
  • Add the following
  • 6 teaspoons of chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons of coriander/dhania (coriander) powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin/jeera powder
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon of tumeric powder
  • 1 1⁄2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1⁄4 cup of water
